Cotton Wool Game By: Shivani & Lauren

In term one, 5p was getting to know their classmates so our teacher decided to make up a game to make a happy classroom. It was called the cotton wool game. With this our class started to learn how to work with each classmate. Many children started to make new friends and everyone got to know their new teacher.

In this game we had a ball of wool and the children including the teacher stood in a circle. With the ball of wool we threw it to a classmate as we said their name. When everyone had a piece of wool it looked liked a spider's web in the middle. As each child let go of a bit of web the web started to go weird. It represented each child getting hurt inside, this made our class think hard about our decisions.

Books Everywhere by Stacie and Pranav

People all around the world read books, such as murder stories, humorous stories etc. The majority of the world either don't have the chance to read books or they just couldn't be bothered. Our school Holy Cross provides the chance to read books and make the standard of our english better. In this school the one and only Deborah Abela came to tell us about the stories she has written in her life time. She gave us a brief idea of the techniques involved in writing a book. It makes us think twice about what the author is telling us when they write their stories.
